The Bottom Line

You can choose to help someone out today — but if you choose not to, that’s okay.

In Detail

Today you will find yourself with the interesting problem of having plenty of energy, but nothing to do! So what are you going to do — channel all of this energy toward cooking up some new adventure, or jump into a coworker’s stressful situation and help them sort it all out? It’s basically a question of whether you feel selfish, today, or selfless, today. And just for the record, the universe says that either option is acceptable. Choose according to your mood.

Helped Xing with her logos today. Her course TP Mass Comm would have been perfect for me had i not gone into JC. Bought 3 books at PP borders and met Yin Rong!! My Sec 1 and 2 classmate xD She;s going into NTU Biological Sciences. YAY! Gonna be schmates x) Oh and Xing and I bought a $60 top from Fat Face, SCARY~ Oh and I got my paycheck for the 3 siblings today $240 WOOHOO, but I spent like $120 earlier, so yeah..

I haven’t been updating my blog cuz my life’s been turned upside down, in a Dorothy of Oz way =p

Well, my mum was visibly audibly touched by the cake I bought from Shan You Counselling and supplied by Prima Deli. It’s only $36.80 for a 1kg blueberry chocolate dome cake! Despite my mum first recoiling at seeing the pristine layer of clotted cream, she soon overcame her irrational fear of getting fat and dug in! I ate most of it though, to make her feel better. LOL! How very filial of me. Psycho-ed Tie Fu and Samartha to buy too. Although the packaging wasn’t fantastic, they were thanking me for the delicious cake by the end of the day. *smug as a cat full of cream*

After the Ice Age and fiery meteorites at home, things finally adjusted back to normal. My mum’s culinary education is accelerated greatly after Aunty Lorna left and Aunty Aida took the helm as housekeeper. I really appreciated her effort to barrage us with new dishes; a well-fed Jia Yi is a happy one, so yeah..all is peaceful. Different story for my sis though, she’s getting addicted to the com and TV, and immune to noise (aka nagging). Hence I did the only thing to grab her attention, grab the remote, or grab her lapels and hurl her bodily away from the office chair. Oh..It’s not that I didn’t attempt a more civil approach. This rebellious pubescant monster just reciprocates with uncivilised taunts learnt from her peers. Well..she wants to be stubborn eh? Suits me.

Jazz jazz jazz..only 3 more lessons to go and we’ll be having exams. I was so suay to kena food poisoning on Sunday and missed the whole slow dance!!!! Soph and Ling tried to teach me but I couldn’t catch the beat -________-” I got kinda depressed after Ling didn’t wanna be video-ed for reference. WHY? I mean…i would never laugh at her or criticize her. And I need to SEEE the movements repeatedly to learn the basic steps followed by doing and finally by following the finer points of the music. It’s my VKA (visual kinesthetic auditory) learning style. I was in the deepest despair that I didn’t have the mood to continue and she just went home, there wasn’t enough repetition for it to sink in. I couldn’t help but think of the first time this sorta thing happened. She didn’t want to lend me her GP notes from her previous tuition, perhaps because she paid for it? I wouldn’t have minded paying actually. Well my mum said that’s just a fact of life, ppl are just selfish and it’d be more pronounced as we progress to uni and work life. SIGH. And I would happily help her in any way. Sigh. Well..I shall stop here, shan’t force anyone. Maybe I could tone down by enthusiasm because when reality steps in, it slaps me soundly on the dance.

The Bottom Line

As you work on projects today, remember what you are doing all of the work for.

In Detail

As you work on each of your various projects today, remember what you’re doing all the work for. Think of the end result and the feeling of accomplishment you’ll have when it’s all done. Few things make you feel better than looking back with pride on a job well done! Keep focused on making progress, and try to speed up your output. Do whatever it takes to make a significant amount of progress so you can free up the next few days for more socializing.

Gonna go and do up Project First Chance stuff with ling later =)

You Are The Hanging Man

You represent the seeking of enlightenment
and spiritual clarity.
You tend to confuse others,
but your oddities seem deeply satisfying.
Self sacrifice is easy for you,
especially if it makes you a better person in the end.
You are the type of person who is
very in touch with your soul and inner spirit.

Your fortune:

Right now is a good time for reflection and meditation.
You should stop resisting the problems in your life,
and let yourself be vulnerable to them.
You may need to sacrifice something important to you
to move ahead in your life.
Accept your destiny with courage,
and learn to let go of what you think you need.

You are Milk Chocolate

A total dreamer, you spend most of your time
with your head in the clouds.
You often think of the future,
and you are always working toward your ideal life.
Also nostalgic, you rarely forget a meaningful moment…
even those from long ago.

You Go For Brains!

You want a guy with a big… brain.
And of course it would be nice if he were a total hottie,
but you’re not counting on it.
What’s on the inside is what counts for you.
(Besides, you can always change the outside later!)

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to obedience and warmth.

In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven… the next moment hell.

You’d like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who fences you in.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future… one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage something you’ve always wanted… though you haven’t really thought about it.

In this moment, you think of love as something you can get or discard anytime. You’re feeling self centered.

What Tan Jia Yi Means

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless –

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations.
You’re most comfortable when you’re far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted.
Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are usually the best at everything …
you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic “Type A” personality.

You are very intuitive and wise.
You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination.
You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy.
You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are fair, honest, and logical.
You are a natural leader, and people respect you.
You never give up, and you will succeed
even if it takes you a hundred tries.
You are rational enough to see every part of a problem.
You are great at giving other people advice.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound.
It’s easy to get you excited…
which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don’t stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short period.
Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are a free spirit,
and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.
You are unpredictable, adventurous,
and always a little surprising.
You may miss out by not settling down,
but you’re too busy having fun to care.
